Getting Started – Instructors
Request for a Pro Account
You will need a Zoom Pro account to use in teaching. Follow the steps below to activate your account and get ready.
2. Download the Zoom desktop client on your computer. The desktop client allows you to manage meetings without logging into the UMKC Zoom website.
3. After your account has been created, sign into https://umkc.zoom.us with your UMKC username and password.
IMPORTANT: Go to My Profile, click Edit in the Kaltura User Id field, and type in your UMKC username, then save change.
Recordings in your Zoom account will be deleted after 30 days. This step allows Zoom recordings to be automatically uploaded to the media storage in Canvas as an MP4 copy. See the instructions on how to publish a recording via Kaltura here.
