Zoom is a web-conferencing software that allows users to schedule and attend online meetings with computers or mobile devices. You can share audio, video, desktop and more with other participants.
There are two types of accounts available. All UMKC employees can have a basic account free of charge. Pro accounts are available for instructors teaching with Zoom for free. Non-teaching account requests are accepted as well, but an anual fee may apply in the future.

Activating a Zoom Account
1.To activate your Basic account and start using Zoom immediately, go to https://umkc.zoom.us, click Sign In, and enter your UMKC username and password. You will be able to start using Zoom as a basic user immidately.
NOTE: If you use Zoom to teach, request for a Pro account as shown in step
2. To request for a Pro account for teaching, complete the UMKC Zoom Pro Account Request form. You will receive a notification within 2 work days.
