UMKC Online has a contract with an online tutoring service called NetTutor. This free service to students offers a variety of modes to get online help. Some of the course content tutoring that is being supported for UMKC students by NetTutor includes the following:

If you are having trouble using NetTutor, there are three ways to get help:
- Customer Support Request Link – In the NetTutor system, there is a customer service support link where you are taken to a form to fill out. A customer service representative will respond as soon as possible.
- Emailing Customer Service – You can also email customer service at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include your name, UMKC SSO, and list University of Missouri-Kansas City as the institution. In your message, please be as specific as possible about the issue you are experience.
- Calling Customer Service – You may also call NetTutor ((813) 674-0600 extension 204) Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST.
The UMKC Writing Studio provides expert, individualized assistance with a variety of writing assignments. One-on-one peer consultation is provided free of charge to undergraduate and graduate students on-campus or online. There are additional writing resources available to graduate students through the School of Graduate Studies, UMKC Libraries, and the Blackboard organization site “Writing Resources for Graduate Students.”
Math and Science Tutoring (MaST) is dedicated to providing individual attention to math and science students at UMKC. MaST is staffed by trained, part-time student tutors who offer free assistance to all UMKC students. Students may work individually or in small groups with tutors. One-on-one appointments of 25 minutes are available, or students may see tutors on a walk-in basis. MaST student tutors also offer online tutoring.
