During the past week, faculty have received multiple emails providing them resources for transitioning to a remote teaching and learning environment. Below is a rundown of some of the key resources provided in an effort to support faculty to keep teaching during this unprecedented time.

  • The UM System’s Office of eLearning (OeL) is providing a number of free workshops and trainings. There is no need to register for these workshops; simply join the Zoom session by selecting the appropriate link. The list of offerings may be located on the Keep Learning Webinars and Training website.
  • The UMKC Instructional Design and Technology (IDT) team has a number of on-demand videos for various eLearning tools including Zoom, Panopto, and various aspects of Canvas.
  • UMKC’s IDT team also has a number of support articles for the various eLearning tools supported at UMKC.
  • The UM System’s OeL Keep Learning website also has a number of resources designed for faculty, students, and staff. Some of these resources are aimed at assisting faculty adapt lecture, seminar, and lab courses to a remote format. Some resources also focus on adapting assessments for remote instruction.
