With the newly expanded Bloch Professional MBA, you get the total package: flexibility of online courses, active engagement with peers and instructors and connection with the Kansas City business community.

The Bloch MBA offers a rigorous core to keep you ahead of the curve in the ever-evolving business environment and a robust menu of electives to help you develop expertise in a specialized area. And, you can mix online and on-campus courses to meet your changing personal and professional needs.

The Bloch Professional MBA is made up of eight core courses and four electives so you can hone essential business skills while also tailoring your degree to your career goals.

Program Structure

Delivery of this program is 100% online: no campus visits are required. Courses are semester-based. Students typically take two courses in the fall and spring, and one or two courses in the summer, and finish in a two to three year time period.

Course work includes:

• Global supply chain and operations management
• Marketing management
• Business analytics and statistics
• Corporate entrepreneurship and innovation

Successful completion of the program requires 36 credit hours of course work. The MBA program allows students the flexibility of using 12 credit hours to meet their unique needs. Students should ensure that prerequisites are taken in the proper sequence. Not all classes offered each semester. Following the completion of core degree requirements, students are able to select the electives that match their career goals. Electives will be offered in either online or in-class formats, with topics suiting a variety of interest areas.

State Authorization

States require that the University of Missouri-Kansas City be authorized to deliver university-level distance/online education to their residents. Each state handles this process differently.

How to Apply

Fulfill the admission requirements

• You must have completed a bachelor's or first level professional degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• GMAT waivers may be available to applicants with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA or two years plus of work experience. For applicants that do not meet these criteria, automatic admissions will be granted with a 600 score on the GMAT (or equivalent score on the GRE).
• If you are a non-US citizen and did not complete a university degree in the US, you must submit results from the TOEFL or IELTS to demonstrate your proficiency in English.
• We may accept up to six (6) credit hours applicable to your program and completed with distinction at an AACSB-accredited institute. An official transcript must be supplied. All transfer credit is approved by your academic advisor during your first semester. Approved on a case-by-case review.
• Applications are reviewed by an admissions committee. A student's previous academic record, statement, resume and exam scores are all considered by the committee. Meeting the minimum requirements noted above does not guarantee admission.
• If the candidate does not meet any of the above criteria, the application is reviewed by the Director of Graduate Programs and/or related Admissions Committee for admission into the program.
