Canvas
Canvas is the Learning Management System (LMS) used at UMKC beginning Fall 2019. Canvas provides a secure online space where instructors can place documents, videos, podcasts, lectures, and many other types of files. Instructors also can use the space for asynchronous interaction by posting discussion board forums, assessments, and quizzes.
NetTutor
UMKC has a contract with NetTutor, an online tutoring service. this free service to students offers a variety of modes to get help for courses. Some of the course content tutoring that is supported for UMKC students includes biology, chemistry, calculus, physics, statistics, writing, Spanish, and nursing
Panopto
Panopto is a lecture-capture platform that provides the ability to combine audio, video, PowerPoint/Keynote, and screen capture into one recording.
Turnitin
A Canvas assignment with a plagiarism detection and prevention system. Turnitin generates a Similarity Report that cross-references a robust database of resources.
VoiceThread
VoiceThread (VT) allows for collaborative, interactive, multimedia slide shows that contains images, documents, and videos. Users comment in 5 formats: voice (with a microphone or telephone), text, audio file (upload from computer), video (via a webcam), and doodles.

Zoom
Zoom is the online conferencing tool used by UMKC. Zoom provides an online space where instructors and students can communicate synchronously. These synchronous sessions can be recorded and viewed at a later date.
Kaltura
An out of the box “Youtube” at UMKC. MediaSpace enables collaboration, communication, and learning by leveraging the power of online video.
